About E-Z Solar

An independent, plain-language solar resource built for one specific place, Central Florida.

Why this site exists

Most solar information online is either written for the whole country at once, which misses details specific to Florida’s incentives, building code, and utilities, or it comes directly from a company trying to sell a system. E-Z Solar is neither. It’s built specifically around what Central Florida homeowners need to know, sourced from official statutes, government agencies, and utility documentation rather than sales copy.

What this site is not

E-Z Solar is not a solar company, is not affiliated with any specific installer, and does not sell leads or accept payment from any company mentioned on this site. Nothing here is a personal recommendation for a specific business, and nothing here is professional financial, tax, legal, or electrical advice. See our full Disclaimer for more.

How this site is kept accurate

Solar policy changes more often than most people expect, a federal tax credit expired at the end of 2025, and Florida’s own net metering rules have faced repeated legislative challenges since 2022. Articles on this site are checked against current statutes and official sources at the time of writing, and updated when something changes rather than left stale. Where a claim is genuinely uncertain or disputed, that’s stated directly instead of smoothed over.

Who runs this site
