Upkeep
After it’s up
Florida is where maintenance has to include wind. Monitoring, warranties, insurance, and batteries as backup — not as extra savings.
Most of a grid-tied system’s work is monitoring, not washing. After storm season, look for debris, lifted flashing, or a panel sitting oddly. Warranties split three ways: panel, inverter, and workmanship. Confirm the system is on your homeowner’s insurance. A battery here is a backup appliance.
